Plot : Absurdistan is comedy film directed by Veit Helmer. The story revolves around Aya (Kristyna Malérová) and her childhood sweetheart Temelko (Max Mauff). The two lovers are destined to marry soon, as predicted by Aya’s grandmother years earlier. However, the water crisis plaguing the village, threatens to destroy the couple’s first night together, as the women of the village go on a sex strike to protest against the male indifference toward the water shortage. With the marriage night drawing nearer, Temelko comes up with a creative solution to the water problem, however the elders respond to his proposal with ridicule and disdain.
