Plot : Directed by Ed Harris, Appaloosa is a western crime drama based on the novel by Robert B. Parker. The story revolves around traveling lawman Virgil Cole (Ed Harris) and his deputy Everett Hitch (Viggo Mortensen). The two men, who have been friends for long, are hired by the locals to protect a lawless New Mexico Territory from the atrocities of the new ruthless rancher Randall Bragg and his hunch men. As the two men try to bring Bragg to justice, Virgil falls in love with Allison (Renée Zellweger), a woman who has just moved to the town and whom Hitch suspects of being more than what she appears.
